1. Choose by Your Everyday Pant/Waist Size (Recommended)

Our athletic shorts and swim trunks feature an elastic stretch waistband with an internal drawstring. Select your size based on your actual waist measurement or standard pant/short size:

Youth Sizes:

• • Youth Extra Small (YXS): Fits 22" – 24" waist (Approx. Kids 4–5)
• • Youth Small (YS): Fits 24" – 25" waist (Approx. Kids 6–7)
• • Youth Medium (YM): Fits 25" – 26" waist (Approx. Kids 8–10)
• • Youth Large (YL): Fits 26" – 28" waist (Approx. Kids 12–14)

Adult Sizes:

• • Adult Extra Small (XS): Fits 28" – 29" waist
• • Adult Small (S): Fits 29" – 31" waist
• • Adult Medium (M): Fits 31" – 33" waist
• • Adult Large (L): Fits 32" – 34" waist
• • Adult Extra Large (XL): Fits 34" – 36" waist
• • Adult 2XL: Fits 36" – 38" waist

If you are between sizes or prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.

2. How to Measure an Existing Pair of Shorts (Flat Measurement)

If you want to compare these to a pair of shorts you already own that fit well:

1. Lay your current shorts flat on a smooth surface without stretching the waistband.
2. Measure straight across the top of the waistband from edge to edge.
3. Compare that flat measurement to the "Garment Waist Laid Flat" column in our chart below.

For example: A Youth Medium (YM) measures 10.5" flat to fit a 25"–26" waist, while an Adult XL measures 15" flat to fit a 34"–36" waist.
